A pretty pale gold necklace made up of bow links with white enamel detailing. The enamel is quite chipped, which is reflected in the price, but I don't think this takes away from the attractiveness of the necklace. Adjustable in length.

About the brand

Trifari was founded in New York in 1912 by Italian immigrant Gustavo Trifari and went on to become one of America's most important costume jewellery houses.

The brand rose to prominence during the 1930s and 1940s, particularly under French designer Alfred Philippe, who designed for Trifari from 1930 until 1968. Having previously worked for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, Philippe brought the precision and craftsmanship of fine jewellery to costume jewellery.

He created some of Trifari's most iconic designs, including the famous Crown brooches and Jelly Belly pieces, helping establish the brand as a leader in high-quality costume jewellery.

Trifari jewellery was worn by Hollywood stars and even by First Lady Mamie Eisenhower, demonstrating just how prestigious costume jewellery could become.

The company continued to evolve through changing ownership and designers and eventually became part of the Monet Group, which was acquired by Liz Claiborne in 2000.

Today, vintage Trifari is highly collectible, particularly pieces designed by Alfred Philippe, and is admired for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative materials and timeless designs.
